A Sunday Well Spent

What's your ideal Sunday? I started thinking about this question thanks to the dating app Hinge. If you're unfamiliar with Hinge/app dating, a) lucky you and b) part of creating a profile on Hinge is selecting three questions from the long list they have provided. It's actually a nice way to have some talking points and get to know a bit more about the people you're saying yes/no to, except of course you can answer anything so it could all be made up.

A favorite since forever.

Sundays are a weird day. They're still very much part of the weekend, but the impending gloom of Monday and going back to work/school tinges them with gloom. On the one hand, I like to make sure everything for the week is set, but I also like to do fun things so that Sundays don't feel like a day of chores. My ultimate Sunday would probably require about two days worth of Sundays so instead I've made a list of things that can make Sundays more funday than scary and am going to try to get in at least one each Sunday.

This is Tracy. Most weekends she's out on East 8th Street calling out "Have a great day!" to everyone who walks by. Getting well wishes from her always makes my Sunday a good one.

Sunday Funday Activities:

  • Massage
  • Manicure/pedicure
  • Watching a movie/going to the movies
  • Going to a museum
  • Seeing a show
  • Street art walk
  • Spending time with friends and family
  • Going on an adventure

I was hoping to start this week, but I've had some sort of virus and since Wednesday so today my big adventure was City MD. I haven't committed to one for next week yet; right now the thought of doing anything other than sleep is hard, but as soon as I feel better, I'll get started.

What does your ideal Sunday look like? Anything I should add to my list?
