Blogiversary: My Blog is 2!

When I started Glitter for Breakfast, all I knew is that I missed writing and wanted to try my hand at putting content out into the world. I wasn't ready, I had no experience with blogging or web design but I went for it. If you've been here from the beginning, you've seen changes, hopefully all for the better, and stuck with me through the growing pains and times when I've been less than stellar at keeping to a regular posting schedule.

I still can't believe my parents pulled off this surprise.

I still can't believe my parents pulled off this surprise.

Two years (and one day) later and it's funny, I've grown and done so much and yet find myself in a similar place to where I was when I began. I think that's how life is. We are always working on certain things: relationships, work, ourselves, and though we grow, learn, and have tons of experiences, these things never stray from being at the forefront of our consciousness.

This year was a doozy. Physically, my body decided to be like, ehh no thank you (hello bursitis, dislocated sacrum, loose SI joint, stomach virus, and now the actual I-could-take-out-a-nursing-home and have Tamiflu flu); work-wise there were major highs (working with Terez to get my client's designs on leggings) and lows (taking a job that turned out to be awful and deciding to leave); I went on an incredible trip to France; and so much more. Through all of this, I feel like I finally met myself, and while she's not perfect, she's a pretty cool girl.

So here I am, two years in, and once again about to jump off a cliff for a new job (more to come I promise). I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store; I'm ready for new challenges, new relationships, and new adventures. As my soon-to-be boss said, "let's make history," but first, because I have the flu, a nap.

Never stop believing.

Never stop believing.
